Applebea's is my favorite restaurant but today my experience here was not too good. We got chicken quesadillas and not only were they burnt but only the tip of most of it had toppings/ingredients on it. Kinda disappointing. (Updated 02/2020)

We had a great time here. Excellent service!! Our waitress was fantastic! Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Oh and the drinks were very good!

Terrible service. We waited 45 minutes and hadn't even received our appetizers. Our server never came to check on us, to apologize for the delay or to give us an update on our food. She even spilled an entire drink belonging to a different table on the floor at one point and never even bothered to clean it up. At almost an hour wait time our toddler started crying because he was so hungry so we flagged down our server and told her we couldn't wait any longer. She told us we were free to go and didn't even care to apologize for the poor service.

Haven’t been to Applebee’s in a while had dinner (take out) at the Lynchburg Va was great service was excellent, so I decided to have lunch at the one in Wytheville Va went in to place a Togo order, place order came out quickly but was wrong order, the waitress threw it in the trash and I waited another 25 minutes for my order I finally ask another waiter about it he went to the kitchen and brought it out saying sport I think it was just sitting on the counter, I would have ask for a refund but I didn’t have time to go to another restaurant.(having already been there almost an hour) The salad was about half the size as the one I purchase at the Applebee’s in Lynchburg a few days before at first I thought it might me a lunch size but it was the same price don’t think I will be visiting this Applebee’s again. The salad was good though

I really recommend the quesadilla burger. It has all the tasty goodies, but without all that bread, just great. Good food, clean, neat. Standard Applebees fare as you would expect from this chain restaurant with friendly staff, also quite competent.

Found one of best waitresses around, in my opinion. Too bad she only works on Saturdays. So, if you're able to get there on Sat, ask for Dani. One of the few that is asking if you need something before you even know you need it. And the food is pretty good too😉.

Our waiter, Josh, was absolutely amazing!! Manners beyond compare. Friendly and constantly checking on us during our meal. Our food was beyond delicious!! We've visited many times over the years but tonight's food and service were the best we've ever experienced!

Food was great! Service was okay. Waitress started off great but then got rude with us. She didn’t bring my 11 years food out with the rest, fine because she only has 2 hands. But she forgot about it. She asked if we needed anything we said his food. She left our table and when to another table to take their order. She went to the back and returned with ranch for another guest at our table. I asked about his kids pizza and fries and she very rudely said “I only have two hands”. Told her I understand but didn’t know if it was done or not. Her reply “she asked for ranch first so that’s what I did”. We told her it would’ve been better to bring the food first which was waiting. It wasn’t that busy last night but maybe she was overwhelmed, I don’t know. We didn’t like how rude she was about the s Situation, which was reflected in her tip.

Cold food, steak cooked wrong and took 40 minutes to not get our food. Hubby ordered a salad, but they had a recall I guess. Waitress tried to charge us for the salad anyway...lol! Manager tried very hard to make it right. Took off the price of hubby's meal, and gave us a $15 gift certificate, but we had to give it back. We were just passing through. So then she took the $15 off our bill. Good manager, bad help.PS when you tell the waitress your "well done" steak was bloody and she says "well I didn't cook it" ...theres your clue.Server hygiene should be importantant as well!*Update: Now I'm sick so I guess the chicken I ate was old. I wish I hadn't ate now. Yuck!

First of all my “virgin strawberry daiquiri” was just a strawberry smoothie. We got mozzarella sticks and onion rings as an appetizer, the mozzarella sticks were alright (sonic’s taste better) and the onion rings were disgusting. Finally got our food, my boyfriends steak was alright. I got the shrimp. I took half a bite of one of my shrimp and immediately knew something was wrong. Now I'm dealing with stomach pains. The manager was very helpful and gave me a 15$ gift certificate but as I was leaving our waiter basically yelled at us for not leaving a tip. I’ve already paid 40$+ on a meal i didn’t even get to eat and dealt with a rude waiter and am still expected to leave a tip?? No. Only reason i would go back was due to the managers customer service.

I took my wife to Applebees for Valentine’s Day. We have always loved our local Applebees. But this was a horrible experience. To start when we come in the hostess didn’t know who was next. Then the manager come to the front grabbed a couple of menu's turned to the people that was waiting and said who’s next. After we was seated we waited forever on our appetizer which still came before our drinks. When our drinks did come the waitress spilled the drink in my seat (accidentally no big deal). But then she never cleaned it up. My wife’s drink that she always orders was half of what it usually is! The bar was a mess no one was cleaning up after guests left. The floors were disgusting. This location is clearly under new management which is failing terribly and it shows. I hope Applebees can get this taken care of. Until then I won’t be eating at this location!!!!

Visited at lunch, but not very busy. Took a tad bit longer to be acknowledge, than I would have liked, but service was spot on after being waited on. Had pick 2 combo, tomato basil soup, and grilled chicken quesadilla. Food was good, but nothing to write home about!

Waited forever to be seated while there was not many other customers there. The seats had ketchup all over them, they cleaned it and still left some on the seats. Then the table was dirty and when we asked for it to be cleaned one said it couldn't because of the bleach. Very unprofessional.

Located at a compact, yet convenient stop on the highway, a great restaurant after a day of driving. At the time of this review, no bar seating and a reduced menu. Service was friendly but a little slow, and the food was as expected from this franchise.

Very slow service. One out of four dinners had no problems. The other three were either barely warm or had other problems. This might have something to do with less staff because of covid but still very disappointed in my whole experience.

Horrible service. Waited 45 minutes for food. Finally had to get it to go, as we had other obligations. They said they would give us a 10% discount, but it wasn’t 10% They can’t even figure out how much 10% of bill is. Then we had to wait longer for them to package up food to take to go. Will NEVER go back to this place.

The worst Applebee's I have been to. I filed a complaint and was told by the manager she would be sending me a gift certificate for me to come try it out again and I've still not received anything. Will NEVER recommend this Applebee's to anyone.

They were out of all beer except for Heineken in the bottle. Listed about ten things on the menu they were out of. Complained that three night of graduations almost killed them. Waitress fussed it was her third night back. I can never go there with out an issue. We went about 6 months ago before all this mess and I swear it was the same. Greeted at the door with a list of out ofs by the manager...... they kinda suck.

Honestly, great burger. Rice was terrible, service was slow and it was just an all around a very slow time. Very few people and service wasn't the greatest. They were out of all steaks and ribs. I hope it's the Covid...
